Police Senior Superintendent Jonathan “Younus” Mendoza Ureta assumed his position as Police Attache on February 27, 2012.
A member of PNPA Tagapagbuklod Class ’89, PSSUPT Ureta joined the police service in 1986 and prior to assuming his post in Riyadh, he was the Officer-In-Charge of the Foreign Liaison Division at Camp Crame. He has joined three (3) United Nations Peacekeeping missions in East Timor and Kosovo. He was the former NACTAG Director for Plans and Programs and Group Director of 501st Police Provincial Mobile Group based in Albay province. He was also previously assigned to the National Police Commission as Police Junior Executive Assistant to Vice-Chairman and Commissioner, the late Percival “Jaffar” Las Marias Adiong and to national operational support units like Aviation Security Group and Highway Patrol Group.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety and in Aeronautical Engineering as well as a Masteral Degree in Public Administration. He is a recipient of a certificate on Criminal Intelligence, a course sponsored by the Australian Federal Police. He is also a licensed private pilot for Cessna 150/152 (fixed wing aircraft) during his assignment at PNP Air Unit. He was the former representative of the PNP to the National Committee on Illegal Entrants and Inter-Agency Committee on Passport Irregularities.
