Dual Citizenship



Requirements: Petition under oath (4 copies); Three (3) recent passport size photos with royal blue background showing a) front view b) right side view and c) left side view, four (4) sets each; NOTE: if the applicant is with unmarried children below the age of 18, the names of the children must be indicated in the Petition and copy of their authenticated Birth Certificates or Reports of Birth should be submitted together with the Petition; original and four (4) copies of valid foreign passport; original and four (4) copies of naturalization documents; original and four (4) copies of NSO authenticated Marriage Contract; Oath of Allegiance

Procedure: Submit the required documents to the Consular Section (counter no. 2) for processing; after paying the required fee at the cashier, arrange the schedule of your taking the Oath of Allegiance before the Consular Officer with the help of the Consular Assistant at counter no. 2; and after taking the oath, you may claim from the same counter your notarized Oath of Allegiance and your Identification Certificate.

 

NOTE: a) For Bureau of Immigration (BI) registered aliens: surrender your original ACR and ICR/CRTV for cancellation, or in its absence, execute an affidavit explaining the loss of said documents for transmittal to the BI. b) If there is any discrepancy between the name in your foreign passport and the name in your Birth Certificate, this shall be explained also in an affidavit. Your name in the Birth Certificate will be used in your citizenship reacquisition documents, with your name in the foreign passport appearing as your alias. c) You may then opt to file an application for a Philippine passport after receiving your notarized Oath of Allegiance and Identification Certificate.
