Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Ezzedin Tago visited Najran Region in southwest of Saudi Arabia recently and paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Najran His Royal Highness Prince Meshaal bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
On 4 June 2012, Ambassador Ezzedin Tago and Mr. Paul Saret traveled to Najran and made a one-day visit to Najran Region.
The Emir of Najran lauded Filipinos working in Najran, who are estimated at about 2000, for their excellent reputation and professionalism. The Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, through the Emir of Najran, for the employment opportunities extended to Filipinos in the Kingdom and the excellent treatment that they receive while they are working in Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Tago invited the Emir to visit the Philippines in the near future, and informed him of business and investment opportunities in the Philippines. Ambassador Tago also hoped that Saudis in Najran will consider the Philippines as their next tourist destination, citing the long and strong relationship between the two peoples.
