On Saturday 7 January 2012, Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Ezzedin Tago paid a courtesy call on His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, the Emir of the Eastern Region, at the Office of the Emir in Dhahran.

First Secretary and Consul Roussel Reyes and Labor Attaché Adam Musa accompanied Ambassador Tago during the call.

During the call, the Emir of the Eastern Region cited Filipinos for their outstanding work ethic and skills.  Ambassador Ezzedin Tago conveyed to the Emir the Filipino people’s appreciation for the excellent hospitality and treatment extended to Filipinos in the Kingdom and the Eastern Region who have made the Kingdom their second home and brought their children.

HRH Prince Mohammad bin Fahd welcomed the Philippine initiative to intensify economic and commercial relations between the two countries, and urged Filipino businesspeople to visit the Kingdom more frequently to elevate economic cooperation to higher levels.  He stressed that there are many investment opportunities in the Kingdom open to foreign investors.
